minus the shift knob and the sterring wheel, i'd get a kick out of that thing

I remember seeing pics of that thing....man where is my money tree.
That Beetle is pretty crazy. HPA can build some monster cars. $30K seems like a lot of money though....

But it's still a bug... no offense to anyone on here. I just wouldn't roll around in one, even if it was 400 hp. :D

What did they use for a donor car to get a VR6 AWD with that wheelbase?
the new beetle is on a golf MKIV platform so really all they have to do is order the parts, they dont have to change a whole lot. but basically the powertrain is swapped over to make it a R32 and then they make the upgrades from there.
the VR6 is a direct swap into a new beetle, i've seen quite a few people just doin that for some more power.

The even funnier thing is that HPA is basically the north american reseller of HGP stuff. The do some in-house things, but if you look closely you will see HGP stamped on most of their hardware.
