Saw this and got extremely curious I plan on running the Ipod interface and having the cord hidden to where i mount the player (possibly on a vent phone holder thing with the cord through the vent) and this is wireless (have to get the OBDII wireless transmitter) this would be amazing to be able to veiw/clear codes, and all the telemetrics, temps, and so forth and be able to log it. the software (app) is $40 then the OBD II plug in (not sure on prices i'm to lazy to look it up :finger:)

here the question I have. WILL THIS WORK!? they installed it in a beetle and what looks to be a mk4 or 5 golf. I'm looking heavily into this for the codes mainly, but having all the extras is appeal and not ever a bad thing to be able to see the many variables that you could check.

Software - $40
Itouch(used w/warrenty) - $30 (used usually you can find em shit cheap)
OBD/Wlan - from Kiwi $149.99 (cheapest option and what the software was designed for)

this will set it all up minus a charger for the Itouch, However with an Ipod interface on your radio i believe that charges it too. (lil help on that too)

so am I, it looked amazing and anything even close to that kind of system and capabilities is over $500.

I've just gotten a bid on a Itouch 3rd gen (used) for around $35 then i'll get the cable and hardware bought and it'll all be ready.

X2! the kiwi wifi is pretty bad ass....if you dont mind the wire get a kiwi mpg for $89 warning for both its a pain in the balls to calibrate! if you have alot of flat highway your good!(if you running a MKV 2.5L the calibration number is 1.32 its off a little but it gives a on target instant/avg. mpg)
i am running the kiwi mpg is pretty on target its just been calculating the fuel used/left wrong i am messing with the calibration numbers now
