well we started from Waterloo and we really had no idea where to. I know that the road from D-buque and up to Rockford is very nice. So we went to Rockford. Then We went up to Madison, Wisconsin, and returned through Praire du Chien (there is a hwy all along the Wisconsin River) and it's very pleasant to drive on. Never seen a cop in sight, although might wanna watch it of course...they pop out of nowhere.

yeah i've driven on the road to Rockford... very nice.

there are a lot of roads off of 151 to Madison that are a blast. Specifically one road called 'Cave of the Mounds' road leading into Mt. Horeb - right near Tyrol Basin ski resort.
