I have 2000 GTI that has been lowered, Im considering 18" rims on it with225/40-18 Nitto Invo tires. I'm wanting to know if anyone has tried something like this and if I will have any problems with running this.

How low is lowered? I know you can tuck 20" rims on a MK4 and still have a 2" drop. My buddys running 18's on his dropped MK3. I think you'll be more than ok. Your biggest complication is goin to be the rim width. If you keep it at 7.5-8" you should be prefectly fine. depending on offset and lip depth. I sounds to me from the tire size that your are prolly gonna be running a 7.5" width.

depends on offset and wheel width.
