Test Drive!

Stef and I went to test drive the only 6 speed GTI that Lithia had tonight. I've ridden in Loccusst's GTI and Adam's GLI, but I'd never driven a Mk5 until now.

I was impressed. :D Stef really liked the car too. I'm really thinking that I'm going to stop modding the Mk3 and basically just maintain it for now. Stef and I have got some bills and things to take care of but I'm definitely putting a Mk5 on my radar for future purchase.

So, for those that missed it, that would be me, a Mk3 with a trunk, wanting to buy a Mk5 with a hatch.

Yes, the hatch envy is growing. Ever since I've started hanging out with everybody at the GTGs and see all of the Mk5s in action...

I'm not sure what happens to our equation...:laugh: I still love the body style of the Mk3, but man the Mk5s are just so freaking fast.

Hey Mike.......they get faster. I have been kinda hesitant to do anymore speed mods till I get the handeling upgrades done. I would like to get some better tires someday.

If I was to get one I think suspension would be first on my list. Its got plenty of power to keep me happy...for awhile I'm sure. ;)

I guess I need to start reading up on these newfangled Volkswagens... :D

he did, he took a ride in adams. i love the mk5s dare i say i think the mk4 hatch is almost the poster child for gti's tho?(i like the mk4 body style) but i still love my mkv and i couldnt be happier (cept with an .:R) but at least u know itl last u a while :tu:

We saw the 20th parked on one side of the dealership when we were pulling in and I said to Stef, "Adam and Bailey were supposed to be test driving that car sometime." That's funny that you guys were there at the same time. :laugh:

There is no way in hell I'd buy a DSG. I can't part with the happiness a manual transmission brings. Plus its got 6 gears! :eek: haha

I honestly do like hatches even moreso in the MKIII and MKIV gen with Jetta fronts....pure sechs!
