yeah, iowa definitely has a different climate, lol. we go from extreme heat in the summer to extreme cold in the winter...haha. actually though, our last few winters have been much more mild.

Iowa is the only state where it can be 20 out and snow in the morning, then 75 and sunny in the afternoon. No wonder everyone wears shorts with a sweater in this state.

Dress in layers dude.....didn't your mother ever teach you anything. I get a kick out of the young girls who try to look all sexy and end up freezing thier asses off. They wear these skimpy little outfits and no coats so you can see everything in the middle of winter. Or when women wear those damn high heel boots when it's icy as hell outside.LOL

Gee Tea Eye V
12-06-2006, 11:32 AM
eh better the high heels than those stupid uggs

i saw a girl like that yesterday. wearing low-rise cropped jeans, heels, a shirt that barely came down to her belly button, and an unzipped coat. its friggin winter! put some damn clothes on!

true true. well, ok, there was a girl on monday night wearing fish net stockings and a miniskirt out at the mall. still, the moral of the story is, wear weather appropriate clothing. :banghead

Welcome fellow n00b :)

Weird thing, I'm actually seriously considering moving down to AZ next fall. It'll either be to Scottsdale, Chandler or Flagstaff. I have a few friends/family around the Phoenix area, more near Goodyear and Sun City.

I'll trade you! :D I live in Tempe, about 10 mins away from ASU... :tu:

About the chicks and their clothes... i noticed that when i was there a few weeks ago... Crazy broads.. :banghead

speaking of shoes.... Do women there like to shoe shop or what? Because most had outragous high heels/boots... Me, i'd rather roll around in my flip flops.. Maybe that's the west coaster in me... :D Anyways, that's just what i gathered from people watching while there...

Yeah Tempe's the college town alright.. I'm in a college town right now, that's kinda what I'm getting away from, thanks for the trade offer though :p A lot of people (including myself) rock the flipflops as long as possible. I HATE driving with flipflips though.

^ nice, nothing like that in mein Audi :( btw good work representing the Bloodhound Gang :p

My flipflops are just some cheapies from Kohl's, I can't justify spending more than $10 for FLIPFLOPS. I can't drive in anything but my kswiss or Globes, you guys are nuts.

Once I got used to it flip flops were not too hard to drive in. I would rather drive in my light wieght converse though. Can't drive bare foot in my car. The pedals hurt.

my favorite thing to drive in are my Puma Speed Cats. i have a set in brown and a set in black. they are thin, small and lightweight, which makes for great pedal feel. :tu:

Nice, last summer I was looking for a pair of nice light wieght shoes for track days. My wife now knows that the only tennis shoes I will own have to be meant for driving. She actually holds the shoes in her hand now to tell if they are light enough for me.

my wife spotted those shoes in the picture of you standing in front of the GLI. conversation went like this:

Mike: Stef, here's a picture of Adam, the guy that started PKG. Look at his cool GLI.
Stef: Is he wearing Pumas?
