I decided to make an official build thread page.
Today I received my Sumitomo 205/40/16 tires for the Porsche Fuchs. I also got my BFI Satge .5 motor/tranny mounts via UPS today too. I'm still waiting on my ECS junk to show up. I'm just about to boycot that muther F*cking place.

seems to me that my friend had them do a flywheel or something, and it took them forever, and their customer service was non-existant. Those wheels will look pretty sweet, and I love stiffer than stock mounts!

I dig the stiff mounts too.
Well I ordered new rotors (all 4 corners), pads, custom SS brake lines (to mate MKIV rear calipers to the MKIII), and a mgnetic oil plug. Prolly some other crap too. However I wanted EBC Red Stuff pads and they woulda had to screw around for 7 days to get them. Even though their web site said they're in stock. So I decided to get different pads instead bc I needed this sh*t ASAP. Put the order in last Thurs. Called Monday wondering where my stuff is. Low and behold the muther f*cker sells me pads that are out of stock. Tells me Monday that a shipment had came in that day but they hadn't gotten around to opening it yet. I just about went nuclear. WHY? B/c the website claimed they had the alternate pad in stock when I ordered Thurs.

Anyways. UPS claims delivery tomorrow. I think from now on I'm just gonna use APR, BFI, ABD, or German Auto Parts. I've had my fill of ECS's stupid sh*t.

MJM customer service sucks too, but their prices are good, so if you know what you want and don't need help or a warranty issue they are fine.

Let's measure the wires when you're at my place. Unless they are torn up I'd leave em alone. Bring some plugs over if you wanna swap em out. Actually lets go to autozone across the street from my place to buy em I have a little card that credits me for purchases over $20.

Lol mine turned all about e85 for a bit until it got moved elsewhere so i feel your pain also i would recommend blue igniters as that is the only one TT sells and they arent outrageously priced usually about as much as oem also NGK V power plugs i use em all day long

So heres some pics for last nights Motor Mount swap at Casey's House. The misadventures of Casey and Casey. What a major PITA!
This is the G60 Mount in. Kind of.

This is the rear Engine Mount. Still Yet to go in. Gotta finish that disaster today.

Pic of Casey's arm. All in the way.
http://i584.photobucket.com/albums/ss289/turbo_powered_photos/IMG00068.jpg
Front mount all jacked up and smashed.
http://i584.photobucket.com/albums/ss289/turbo_powered_photos/IMG00075.jpg
Since I snapped the Bolt that holds the rear mount in tryin to get it out. It's now suck so I've gotta try to drill it out of the mount today. Gonna be a real treat. Then I'll change my spark plugs and maybe get some better gas mileage. Woo Hoo For breakin shit!

Yeah that back tranny mount is really fun to get out  . We had to loosen the front motor mount and also remove the halfshaft from the tranny to get the stupid thing out. Upgrades are lookin good though!

SO A little update. The Adapters for the Porsche Fuchs are paid for. Adaptec Speedware will be custom building me a set of 4x100->5x130 18mm fromt and 4x100->5x130 20mm rear adapters this week. I should have then in the next 2 weeks or less.. about the same time I get those I'll be ordering a set of V-Maxx coilovers. Gonna take er to the ground.

In my opinion, don't waste your money on budget coil-overs. Either save up enough money to go with quality ones that don't ride like a lumber wagon, or you can find a nice used set of quality coil-overs for probably the same price. Maybe a bit more.

Actually I'm using these for stability. Inexpensive stability. It'll keep er rigid and keep my NEW tires from becoming hamburger. i dont care about a stiff ride. I'll be working on air ride over the course of the rest of the year. I'll also be looking for an upgrade rear sway bar to reduce side to side roll. So it'll suit it's purpose for being a $400 kit.

As a matter of fact you are correct and I haven't forgotten you. I'm hoping that you still have the hood and hatch around the end May or so and I'll be up to Dubuque to snatch em up. Btw. I know you were wanting to sell the drop license plate kit. Let me know the price and whether it's mechanical or electrical. Sarge is interested. :word:

Today the Stainless Tectonics Exhaust w/Borla Muffler came off the Ginster. For sale of anybodys interested. I had Sarge do his handy work and now I'm runnin a 2 1/2" pipe with a glass pack and dual 4" tip. I sounds f*ckin great. I also got the tires mounted on the Fuchs. Now I just have to paint them. It's supposed to be nice this week. So hopefully I'll get em done this week/weekend.
