I went to change the battery in the WS-6 (big nasty) last night to find that the positive terminal had ruptured and barfed batt acid out...it ate my hold down bolt...and the lead part of the positive terminal is welded to the positive connector...this **** sucks some serious ass...anyone know of something that will neutralize batt acid so I can clean this area out and begin to repair the damage?

I think baking soda will take care of it. Then wash it away with distilled water maybe....

Seriously though, make a solution of baking soda and water. That should take care of it. GM was dumb with having those bolt terminals....

I have had a ton of GM cars and this has never happend before though I dont know if it was age (I think it is the original battery from 99) or a defect either or it sucks...going to set to work tearing it down tonight hopefully it didnt eat any wires down in the front end
