Picked up this car a few months ago with a blown head-gasket.

Friend in Kansas picked up the car for me and repaired it.

When he removed the head, there was water in 3 of the 4 cylinders. The head was warped pretty bad and the rod bearings were shot.

So i decided to use the head off my callaway Motor - it has oversized 42mm intake and 35mm exhaust valves, 2mm bigger than stock.

I also bought a ported intake manifold w/ bigger TB from Vortex member and a dual downpipe set up to replace the Toilet bowl exhaust. ( of course kept all the stock parts as well )

Of course replaced the rod bearings, rod bolts...

Its a non-sunroof car with A/c - not sure if the a/c works. Just got the car a few hours ago. It was driven 200 miles up to me from Kansas, runs great!!

Interior is really clean, the driver seat is still really firm.

Odometer works and title reflects the original miles. The car came to mid-west from CT i think..

The tach dont work, again got some sorting to do on the car.

The stereo is weird. It still has the original shaft mount dash bezel. But for what ever reason they mounted a shaft mount stereo in the glove box wtih some amp mounted under the glove box. the stereo lights up and has the time displayed, but havent been able to figure out how to get sound of it. I plan on putting it back where it belongs as long as it works.. ( anyone know of newer style original shaft mount stereo with Ipod stereo )

Has some old , alpine speakers mounted in the back.

Car itself has a few bumps and dings , paint cleans up nice.

These are weird - looks like a CIS molded boot or something?

More callaway stuff

I am going to try to find some STOCK bumpers for it - before i go and install some faded Euro-bumpers - not sure if i will have any luck.

I have a neuspeed upper stress bar - lower 4 point bar - Vmaxx coils ( might pull jamex from my callaway car instead to put on this car )

Nice find......I would love to have that car. I would probably drive it more than my MKV GTI, lol.
