View Full Version : A Day of Cleaning...
Spent most of today cleaning my car. It needed it badly, especially my wheels. They were practically black and caked with brake dust. I owe it to Stef for taking all of the pictures today. I think she did a good job. :tu:

The second pic looks like you are thinking about either something you just F'd up or how to spend money on the car.

haha! I was actually on my phone. My mom called while I was detailing the wheels and talked to me for quite a while. Stef ended up taking all the pictures while I was still on the phone.

Agreed. The last picture of my car would look so much better if it were dropped at least 2 inches. Lowering is what makes the Mk3s look so sick. :tu:

Yes, the Vento was NASTY! I scrubbed a lot of dirt and mud off the rockers and really went to work on the wheels. I couldn't believe how much brake dust was caked on. Now I just need to finish removing the pinstriping on the driver side. ;)

Yeah, the front two wheels were the worst because of the disc brake setup. I ended up just going at em with Simple Green. The other stuff wasn't strong enough. The rears are drums so it was basically just a little dirt to wipe away.

Looks good Mike. And on the 60/40 kit, I think the rake is a bit much for me. I think a 60/60 might look a bit better. As far as ride, I think it rides great. At least for the 1300 miles home, but I am used to lowered cars. I have barely driven it since I brought it home. I just got it running good on Friday, so hopefully next week when it warms up I'll drive it a bit more. I gotta get the heatercore in it too.
