Hey all, it's been a while since I've logged onto PKG. Who knew the VB garage doesnt work anymore? wierd, I know.
However here are a few things you have missed since I made the northern migration.
On Veteran's Day a simple task of vacuuming my carpets let to me finding about a half gallon of water in my spare tire wheel well, which led to this...The removal of my trunk stuff and back seats so I could clean and dry my carpets (http://twitpic.com/p5jw0)
The water had been in there for probably a month so in that time of driving it sloshed around and got the seats and carpet wet.
Luckily there's a TSB for water leaking into the trunk of the car through the taillamp area. So I took it to the nearest VW dealership, in Brainerd (not so close), and they did warranty work on it and said they fixed it. Since there hasnt been any rain since, I cant test their claim, but they seemed like good people and came off as sincere.
Lastly, as some of you might remember, I bought a set of wheels from Kevin back during the July gtg in Waterloo. Since then I bought Blizzak WS-60s for them and now change my Rabbit into an "Arctic Hare". Those tires are serious legit for snow traction. Straight money.
So that's what you have missed by not living in northern Minnesota.
