Great looking car! IMO the back wheels are spaced a bit too far though.

Very nice car...not my particular taste, but i appreciate the vision the owner has...always nice to see a set of old school BBS on a mk4. Nice use of chrome, red and black to all work together. Again, not what i would do, but I like it regardless. If money was no object, it would be fun to experiment with stuff like that. But I don't know anyone who doesn't have a budget.

Did I ever show you guys that pic of the 301's pshopped on my car?

Nathan, have you ever considered powdercoating the front grille and lower grille vents black? I'm trying to picture it on your car....it might throw off the chrome headlights though...

I'm sorry i think those wheels are ugly as hell.. thats just not my style at all.. Plus, its just a slammed GLI with color matched bbs'. Award? nice plate in the front window! CLEAN

It's all a matter of opinion. I for one think they look great, but I love mesh-style wheels.

Simplicity is key. The devil is in the details. :tu: The car gets props from me.

I'm not one for chrome either, but I do like the accent it brings to the car sitting in the rub strips. You just have to approach cars with an open mind and appreciate the design and execution. I can't say I would ever build a car like Charlatan's Mk4 Jetta, but I can appreciate the work and style in the car. ;) You don't have to like the style for it to be considered nice.

I think the chrome strip only really works with the polished lips on the wheels. The car, as a total package, works pretty well, although I do agree that the rear wheels do stick out a little further than I would like if it were my car.

I am new to this whole German scene though, as I have said before, I am the jerk that bought my car without really knowing what it was... :o

I'll concur with that statement.

I like wide wheels, but I'm not a fan of them sticking out way past the fenders. It's like when people make fun of the el crappo rides with wire wheels sticking out a foot beyond the fenders, but since its a VW and the wheels are BBS they think that its ok and that it looks good...lol
