hey guys i had my 10k service today and since my car is on lease and still under warrenty i turned my revo back to stock and drove it there that way to log some miles on the stock setting. when i got there the guy was like hey theres an ecu update but itl take an extra hour. and i was like yeah thats fine but then afterwards i pulled into come and go to get a drink and change it back to the 93 octane setting. when i left it didnt feel much different... u think the ecu update could have deleted my revo programing??
also they refused to do the TSB to give my car launch control but thats the least of my worries if i lost revo
it may also be that my DV finally broke like they have been on mk5s and im just not getting the same boost...
thoughts?

You get the OY update? I've heard that people are losing their upgrades because of that update.

Eek.. scary coincidence ^
Are you seeing stock boost or is it boosting the same as the 93oct chip but not pulling as hard?

Your chip was wiped out. I had my update done not to long ago and Zack said it would wipe out the chip if I had one. Some of the aftermarket companies were forced to make updates to their software because of the update....the previouse versions would not load back onto the ecu. Long story short.....you need to go back and have the REVO reinstalled.

eek  Does that mean paying for the Revo ECU flash again?

I would suspect that you will probably have to pay for the time to do the re-flash. But you should not have to pay twice for the same performance file, at least that is the way GIAC handles it. Revo should have records of your VIN on file and what file was uploaded to your ecu.

Most places are not charging as long as you have your reciept. I think you have to go back to the place you got it done at....not sure. Call up the place you got it done at and ask.

Then maybe a reputable dealer will take care of you. You might have to contact Revo and see who they can send you to....maybe they send you a voucher or something, I don't know. You are going to be taken care of I just can't say how or who.
