it had to happened on a friday the 13th.... as i was driving n e14th around 7 after i got off work, i was headin with some friends at grays lake. before i got to court avenue this stupid silverado decides to be a smartass and fcking breaks out of nowhere!!!!!! and fck got a front end damage while he got two dents. and i had to get an asshole who just doesnt care what happened to my beloved betty (my mk2 golf). my hood got bent, my euro bumper suffered a good rip, my radiator support fcked. oh yes yes.......i got a pinche (swear word) citation saying i wasnt driving at a safe distance.....what are we speaking gibberish? pendejo state trooper i was 5 car lenghts away when im breaking and downshfting to traffic and he slams the brake!!!!!!!! youre wondering what was my reaction, dude i have to admit i did cried and hugged my car because i do love my golf and some asshole decides to slams on the breaks. got home and told my parents about it but thinking they will be mad, i did agreed on one thing, i am alive....but my betty? my car? its driveable miraculously the engine is intact and sounds the same like when i bought it. and is not leaking which is what im hapy about. ill upoad some pictures of the damages when i can. things damaged where my headlamps that broke but the lightbulbs work, hood was bent, left fender damaged at front and tiny dents to the right one, grill super dented in but my vw emblem is alive, top of my bumper got a one inch by half inch torn, my radiator support is damaged (radiator is fine and no leaks and still starts up like a champ). called the insurance company so tomorrow i have to take a day off work for this and see if the stupid pendejo will at least pay for my damages. in case it desnt happen please anyone to help me fix betty. i dont have much but ill do and work what it takes if anyone is willing to help or sell parts for my golf. seriouly is not enough what i make but i will not let my betty down. i need and i will fix it. anyone anyone willing to help, sell me any parts or maybe trade my betty for a diesel rabbit or a shell just anything. i would thank anyone who is willing to help, but i do put my word on it my mom will buy you drinks also, no joke. any help is deeply appreciated if you want my number pm me for it. if i dont answer please do leave a voice mail. once again ill keep updating. thank you

Ummmmm I think I might have a pair of headlights you could have. Used but they work. I can't remember where they are but if I find them you can have them. Located in CR..

EDIT- they are the sealed round ones.. from my mk1 but they should work for you but I don't know for sure.

Sorry to hear about your A2, I love mine too, but I doubt it's as nice as yours. I try and stay away from E14th, especially since my A2 only has 54hp and people aren't too patient with my slow acceleration.

Ryan (dudepal) just informed me that my single round mk1 headlights won't work for your mk2...

Ryan also told me he has some stuff he would get rid of for a good price:

-Areo core/radiator support
-Aero headlights
-Radiator & A/C exchanger/radiator if you need it

He will be at the QC GTG.

He also said he might have a good rebar and bumper cover but they might not be the prettiest thing.

Jay (A2dub) will most likely have the rest as well.

Take yourself a drive to wrench n go in dsm, or if you have the time, go over to Newton to Car Country. The last time I was at car country they had a few mk2's with front ends intact, the best thing about car country is they sell their vw parts dirt cheap, but you can't believe them if they say they don't have a part because they don't know what is or isn't in their yard.

alright guys lets drop it. tomorrow im heading to Maxwell to do surgery on betty. she wont have the same color but this is the begining of building betty. i planned to keep it stock with mild mods but might as well do some other stuff for betty. update on the insurance call today, i found out i had full yes FULL coverage whereas they wont and they wont do anything about it so my business with progressive im done and moving to another insurance company. also would lik to thank everyone for their support from the bottom of my heart. this christmas, and im being serious, would like to make some mexican food (i can cook and ill make sure i have pepto bismol in case my food wont sit tight in your tummy) for people here in pkg. for me, i have to think of a way to get rid of this horrid memory i hav been carrying for 5 years, that was my serious accident in my last rally season in 2004. when i crashed last friday thy came back in a flash and now i dont even feel secure in myself. someday i will forget it. ben, please next time dont make comments like this bro, im emotionally unestablished and this wasnt welcome but i forgive ya bro.
