I have a 1990 Jetta for sale. It is on craigslist at the link below.
Call 515-298-0704 Engine blown good for parts $250
Check it and call. I'm willing to trade for running aircooled engine for my dune buggy.

Don't know. My boy got it and did not know it had radiator leak and blew engine. He has asked me to sell it.
Shame still would have potential if the right person had it. I thought about it but I got to many others to deal with.

This car was around before PKG's time, but it is Justin's old car. It was pretty clean. I think he sold it for nearly $2000 a few years ago.

This the car up in Boone posted on CL? Saw it, thought about coming up from DM to look at it. Give me a shout @ 319 400 4299 if you're around Thursday or Friday during the day, I'm off those days.

I've made a deal with someone for the car. He plans to come down and get it and I told him I would hold it until then (week and half). He sounded like an enthusiast and I hate to see old volks die. Will post another message if he does not show

if this doesnt work out i may be interested. lmk. all it needs is a new motor and radiator? any other probs?

If the deal falls through I am intrested in it. I am in Boone to and will have a nice transplant sitting around for a mk2 in the future :)

I'm looking to sell for $200. I still have give me a call @ 515 298-0704. The pictures above are when iwas in better shape. Having said that it would be a good parts car. Body has small dents but no rust throughs. Manual trans works. Other than that it does not have radio. Interior is fair but needs headliner. I don't know much more it was my boys car and he signed title and told me to get rid of. Don't have to have cash would take aircooled vw parts that I need or a good set of type one vw seats that I could put in my dune buggy. No super beetle seats, won't fit pan

I don't really have an aircooled parts but one thing I have for aircooled is a scirocco steering wheel modified to bolt to an aircooled hub. Plus cash of course but you would probably be the only aircooled guy with this normally $150 wheel :)

Sorry Casey I have three vehicles that need engines and one that needs seats. Steering wheel is neat but that won't get me closer to driving one of them. Thanks any way

Sold btw the guys I sold it to are really into the cars and seem to have the knowledge to restore it. They were happy to see that it was not a rust bucket and they have an engine from another car that they just swapped a bigger engine into for this one. I really wanted to find somebody that could use it. Told them to thoroughly go through complete cooling / heating system to ensure there engine will be ok.

I picked up the car. Plan is to swap in my 12v vr6 and 5 lug swap it. Maybe a mk3 dash if it all works out right. Car does not have hardly any rust which what it does have will be easy to fix. I may pull the head and see if i can get it running long enough to finish my other project first but time will tell. Thanks again bugsplatt.
