i need the plastic sockets that holds the bulb into an early vw/audi tail light.

i believe one out of an mk1 or transporter van would work but there may be others.

i need two

We have an A1 Rabbit in the yard, I'll take a look at it and see what's there. If not I have some tails from the Audi 4000 that might have similar components.

Haven't checked the A1 Rabbit yet but I looked at the Audi 4k taillight when I got home, not the same. I'll check the Rabbit tomorrow.

I checked the A1 Rabbit and they aren't the same as the ones you're looking for. These might be exclusive to your car.

thanks for looking. i know they are not exclusive as people on several boards have commented you can get them out of a vw. the only model i have pinpointed is a transporter/t3 vanagon. (cant find any locally however)

i will continue the hunt
