There's a member on our forum, vwmeister I think, who owns a shop in Waterloo that now does GIAC. Any reason you're choosing APR over GIAC? I think the closest APR dealers will be in Chicago/Omaha/St.Louis. Go to their website and they should have a dealer map. www.goapr.com

none in omaha as of now...... i got my APR done in Kansas city... guys there are great... it was 499 out the door for but since your a 2.7T.. it'll be 599... so worth the money... if you go, i can go with you some day... i need to upgrade mine soon... probably do Stage 1+ or K04 upgrade... and dont let anyone convince you to do anythign else but APR. Wait until they have a sale.. u get more programs... i got 2 programs for the price of 1... im running 91 and 93 octane programs...

well the reason way i want apr is because the power is more smooth, giac will boost at higher psi, therefore its not to good for the stock turbo, and giac chips are very aggrassive which is awsome, the only reason i choose apr is because its not to harsh on the stock ko3, but if iam wrong, then ill go with giac, but thats what i have heard from people so i dont know

There IS difference between GIAC and APR but it's pretty small.. most likely 0.2bar or less at it's peak curve. I'll bet half of the APR owners are spiking more than that :p A lot of people have chipped their cars on a stock k03 at over 100k miles and have been fine.
Either way, both are great companies and you won't be let down going with one or the other :tu:

I'm assuming this tuning is for the A6 with the 2.7tt? F APR. They are complete weaksauce. I know, I used to have it for my old S4. See if you can source out a secondhand MTM ECU online or call Joe at Hoppen Motorsports and have him chip yours. Giac is cheaper by about 200 dollars and is the most powerful chip horsepower wise. However, GIAC looses the torque category by about 20 ft-lbs to the almighty MTM.
I've heard plenty of douchebags say, "well, APR has the chip switcher technology through the turnsignal stalk and I'd like to prolong the life of my turbos".....Honestly, I've never heard one of those people say they drive around on or even enjoy the stock program once they're "chipped". Big question is, why spend the extra money on something you're NOT going to use (hint, don't buy APR)? GIAC from Kevin (vwmeister)for the win

my brother has a APR chip for his car and installed himself on his A6 2.7. He like the switching feature and he isnt always running chipped all the time and likes the fact that he can switch it on the fly for those moments that he wants to play a little bit.
