View Full Version : Some old school restoration
One day, she will live once again. I'm actually turning the torsion bars down in the back, putting on my lowered front kingpin, tossing the body and putting another 58-63 body back on it and going old school with it. This is back in the old baja days. I have a thing for 200hp cars that weigh about 1500-1800lbs. As soon as I get the ole Ford runnin again, it'll be her turn. If anybody has a good solid body they are willing to part with, please let me know! It will NOT be chopped up, and will be put to good use.

Looks very very nice :tu:
I went with the highest compression I could on a 2110cc, I chose that size due to the bores being nice and thick to help with cooling. Dual 44 IDF webers feed the thing and I really should get the specs back out of the cam. Other then that, it's mounted onto a Bus IRS that I converted to fit the back, the front came with a kingpin that was modified and lifted, I have a new one in my garage that has 3" lowered spindles and discs on the front that I will use.
Hopefully once she gets back together, it will look mostly stock, just lowered, little wider wheels and the lid drawn back for a little more air to the engine. I'm thinking either a deep purple with a silver two tone or just all out black Cal-Look.

Nice!
Sounds like a great engine ;)
We've got a '69 in the same deep purple that you are talking about.
Frame up restoration with only about 3500 miles on the engine and car after the resto. I believe its an 1811cc w/ upgraded carbs - not sure on the exact specs but its for sale ;)

how much for the '69 john?
Even though I'm only really in the market for a body, if the price is right, I just might! (I'm a poet and didn't even know it!) *Damn that was lame*
