New from Waterloo

I've owned a lot of VW's since my first ('81 Rabbit) and VWMeister over here in Waterloo has maintained all of them.
Past: 81 rabbit, 85 Jetta, 89 Jetta, 90 Jetta, 91 Passat

Current: 93 SLC Corrado, 98 Passat, 99 Passat, 04 W8, 04 tt roadster

The 98 and 99 you may see at Loras in Dubuque (Kid cars). Wife always has the roadster. My main is the W8 and when I'm fed up with work I run around in the rado to blow off steam.

Next VW or Audi is likely to be the 4 door GTI with DSG. My 81 rabbit was a 4 door and I really liked that setup.

I'm likely the second oldest here except for VWMiester!:)

You've been a loyal and highly respected customer thoughout the years that is for sure. I better quite jabbering before my dentures fall out... Oh and learn how to spell vwmeister too or I'll take my walking cane to ya!! ;)

PS we need to tweak that TT sometime, that is when you can steal it from your wife for the day :)

Hello to another W8 owner. There are already a few in Iowa on the forum and I'm from Omaha. What year is your W8? There is also a W8 forum that has a regional listing http://w8.spinner.dk/ . Some of the Iowa/Minnesota/Wisconsin/Nebraska W8 owners are talking about getting together in May. I have also owned a few VAG cars including an 85 Audi 5000, 94 Passat GLX, 95 Passat GLX, 2002 Golf TDI, 2000 Audi A4 Avant, 2006 Jetta Sedan, 2003 W8 Variant. The last three are still currently owned.

Good to meet another W8 owner. I think there are 2 of us in Waterloo/Cedar Falls.

Stats:

2004 "Sport" Model. The primary item that I think the sport model came with were the Madras BBS RIMS which are very slowly corroding and apparently out of warranty per VOA.:mad:

Miles: 48000, it was CPO so I have until 74,000 to decide whether to by an extended. I paid $23,500 for it in Feb of '06 from a VW dealer in KC. They wanted 29,500 but 6 months after I walked, I saw it being pimpted on ebay.

Silver/Black interior with 40% tint sides and back.
TIP.

TOTALLY different driving experience than the other Passats we have. I like it though even though it's heavy.

Why don't you see the Corrado? It spends most of it's time in the garage. It's decided to leak (Mainly Oil Pan gasket) and it really needs some new rubber. Once I get it to Lichty for a leak fix and put some tires on it I plan on using it for work this year and basically driving it into the ground.
Everything works, I just have too many cars and the Corrado is the most expendable.

$$ talks though if UR interested. I rather see one of you get it than some kid that can't decide beween a Neon and something called a Corrado?!
