Cruise & Booze in Dub Town
Alright guys so this is a carry over from the feeler and the poll for the date. It appears that the one day event won the poll and will be on the 17th of October. It looks like the cruise is approximately 2 hours long so if we get rocking at aproximately 1pm then we can hit Jordan's suggestion, Durty Gurts (im not sure how big this place is and they dont have a parking lot so Pearl and I are gonna check it out soon to see if it will work), for some burgers and head on over to my place for a party.

I would say we meet at McDonalds in keywest the address is 2250 Flint Hill Dr Dubuque, Iowa 52003 at 12:30pm that way if anybody is running late we can still get rolling at about 1pm

So on with the party. I will provide 2 tasty 1/6th barrels in my kegerator and another keg of some sort of domestic. We also have a lot of different boozes here to mix up your choice of cocktail. If you guys wanna bring some sort of snacks that would probly be a good idea as most people get the beer munchies at some point. As many people that can find a spot of floor or one of the couches, are welcome to stay over night. We have a pool table, darts, championship sprint arcade game, rock band, a fire pit on the back deck and a whole lot of other fun stuff we can do here. I'm also gonna run it by my parents to see if we can use their RV to sleep some of you guys as well. Their is a huge yard too so if anybody is feeling crazy they can camp out. (Jordan and his boy scout tent) The other option if people wanna shell out the cash is theirs a Holiday Inn express about 1 mile from my house. I am totally open to this becoming a holloween/costume party if anybody else is chime in and maybe we can figure out some cool stuff for prizes or something.

Yup still work for the Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center and drive all over the place. It's my full time job. That's why I won't be part of the shop much longer. Full time job takes main priority.

Its freshly paved and has mad twisties. If anybody want to chime in that would be great.

Andy when you cruise the route before the Fall tour make a note on what road leads to scenic ridge route because it doesn't start off to be scenic ridge in Savana. (It starts off residential then after about a 1/2 mile it turns in awesomeness) Also when you get to Galena could you try and find where we are eating (Dirty Gurts) and see if there is a large parking lot near by where we could all park? Would you like to make a reservation for the restaurant that night too? If not, I can... no biggy. :drive: :hungry:

Andy when you cruise the route before the Fall tour make a note on what road leads to scenic ridge route because it doesn't start off to be scenic ridge in Savana. (It starts off residential then after about a 1/2 mile it turns in awesomeness) Also when you get to Galena could you try and find where we are eating (Dirty Gurts) and see if there is a large parking lot near by where we could all park? Would you like to make a reservation for the restaurant that night too? If not, I can... no biggy. :drive: :hungry:

Yes I also wanted to mention last year people were drivin as fast as they could and that was dangerous.

On the short Dubuque cruise in my rabbit you guys lost me. This one is long. Some cars are slower and if they can't keep up, well that would pretty much ruin the whole experience so please be mindful. Having fun around corners is one thing but going balls out for 1.5 hours is not a good idea. Be mindful that we are a group and want to stick together, like a pack of wolves, prowling the desert for strippers and cocaine :tu:

I completely agree with everything said above here. I think casual cruise will be the way to go. Cold weather and tires don't usually go hand in hand very well. And with the amount of cars going, safety should be a big concern.

I drive spirited and I also have concideration for others. I plan on leaving my car in 5th gear the entire time. With the power of boost I shouldn't have any problem getting on it a little in some corners when it's safe too. If I have to downshift to do that then that means I am getting too out of hand. 5th gear cruising pace is just fine for me. Although on scenic ridge road it has some good sharp curves that will have to require downshifting but I'm sure you guys get what I mean by 5th gear cruising pace is a good pace. ;)
