Yeah - 2.25" straight back to a glasspack and a vibrant axle back. Too damn loud as the glasspack wore out in 2 months!
Anyone know how to weld? I might have to redesign my system :td:
We have a guy in Ankeny who builds race car chassis for a living....he could probably hook you up. Or, make a trip out to Magic Muffler here in Ames. They do good work. :tu:

Lol Ii had it done at Magic! I've given them $225 so far and they busted one of the O2 sensors ($100). I really don't want to fork over $150 redesigning the exhaust to accomidate another muffler.

there's no such thing as an exhaust thats too loud, the one on my bug is really loud, but a loud exaust is more at home in an old car than it is in a new luxury car :D

^ I disagree.. loud exhaust at WOT is fine but when exhaust drones on the highway it's SO annoying.
Why not take out the glasspack and throw in a resonator or two? You might not need a new muffler.

I figure adding another muffler would last for the duration of the car's life. Putting one where the stock resonator used to be would be perfect if it wasn't for the straight back design I have.
Do you have any photos of the current exhaust setup ?

Summit racing has their turbo muffler for $15 :)
^^ :word:
As long as it quiets the exhaust down and still has good flow.

Any pics of it? Just please don't get an Apex'i N1 look-a-like or any other ricey muffler... IMO stick to the 2-2.5" dual tip ;)

I'm going to probably put an additional muffler where my stock resonator used to be.

because of the rasp and cackle associated with glasspacks you may be best off to just run straight pipe and delete the glasspack

I did run a straight pipe at first - much louder than now, but it's still damn loud.
