Is this too good to be true?..or a scam? My friend Matt on here is gonna e-mail the guy and find out. He's claiming the wrong amount of horsepower on his add unless the beast is chipped or modded.

Looks like a nice car. I would think it would be more then $7k if its in as nice a shape as he says, blue book says its should be around 25-30k but I put in 50k miles so it could be different.

Ya they're still worth quite a bit. Even ones with like 80-90k miles are selling in the twenty thousand range still. I've always wanted to get one of those some day but they'll probally hold a nice value for a long time and always be expensive as hell to service and maintain. I think the timing belt has to be done well before and of the other C5 A6 models.

they never made rs6s with manual trans, and i believe audi recommended the timing belt be changed at like 40k instead of the normal recommended 100k.

yeah 7k is way too low unless there is something horribly wrong with it. but the pix are true, thats a genuine RS6 -- flared wheel arches, int, etc. --and yes they were actually all automatics sadly.
bottom line....avoid, its too good to be true

just like assumed its a scam he replied and said that the car is in florida and he can get it shipped for cheap all's i have to do is send a check to him for the price plus 350 shipping and his buddies shipping company will ship it to my drive i replied and said that i would rather pick it up in person and he argued with me about me spending the time and money to fly out and drive it back so i told him to get off the crack and get a job i figured this was the case but worth finding out cause if it wasn't that would have been a deal of a lifetime glad i never got my hopes up stupid scammers just how many people fall for that shit?

Yup -- red flag right there. :td: I'm surprised he didn't have you send the check to Nigeria...

Ya back when they had a race going version of the RS6 they had to lift the tranny and gearbox out of an 03' S4 hoping that it could with stand the power and torque on the track.

Craigslist states that all offers to ship autos are 100% fraudulent.

O1E's can pretty much handle anything you throw at them pending it has the newest rendition of shift collars, sliders, and the newest type of syncro (they're made out of a different material)
