As of today, we are sitting at 95 registered members on PKG.

Back in January, at 74 members, we started guessing when we would hit 100:

100 members on March 3rd

100 members on March 9th.

100 members on April 1st

So far Jake and I are both overdue, but IB is still in the running.

I will be amazed if he actually gets it spot on. :tu:

IB is just going to create 5 new members that day....

i think its great we are almost at 100 members but one thing thats been bothering me is that even tho our member count is going up almost daily, our active members has stayed the same... and thats sad to me cause i wish we had more people posting and i dont know who has accounts but dont post anything. i dunno i was thinking about our number of active members like 5 mins ago

Yeah, it would definitely be good to get more people posting. We just need to start looking up their e-mail addresses and sending messages or PMs to em.

And, however uncool this may sound, I think we ought to go in and wipe out all of the accounts with 0 posts and no activity for like 2 months. That way the number is more reflective of our actual members.

This place can be intimidating at first to someone new, but we've got a great thing going. We just have to be receptive to new users and help them out when and where we can. :tu:

I Agree To The 0 Post Thing, I Always Try To Say Hello And Welcome To New Members. If We "the Reg. Users" Make An Effort To Talk To Neewbies We Will Have Alot More People Stick Around.
Alot Of Other Sites Get Clicky And Then New Members Have A Hard Time Getting Into That Clicky Group So They Feel Left Out.

I just sent e-mails and PMs to most of the members with zero posts. I basically just went through the member list (http://forums.projektgerman.com/memberlist.php) and looked it up by post count. I think you can also sort by last activity date.

I agree with cad.. even though we're not really making a clique I can see it being somewhat intimidating for new members.

Plus I've said it before, those biz cards Jake's working on and the window decals I need to get going will help the member count. I don't know about you guys but if I see a nice local German auto with whatever done to it and a URL posted on there (assuming it's not a vendor), I'd probably go check it out.

:word: I spotted that black Bimmer on I35 the other day and saw the Dinan plate frame and some sort of decal in the side window. It made me want to go check it out. :tu:

PKG business cards would be great.

I'm seeing more and more slightly modded german cars around w'loo/CF and would love to stick a card in their window seal.

I printed up 10 PKG business cards over my lunch at work today.

A pack of 200 cards is about $17. I have the design ready and everything, just need the cash to get the cards and get em printing for people. I have the 10 stashed in my car right now.
