Oil change

I have a new to me 2005.5 jetta TDI. I need to change the oil in it, but when I climbed under it, nothing looked familiar. Can someone give me a little guidance?

There might be a small belly pan you have to remove to gain access to the oil pan drain plug. The oil filter is servicable on the top side of the engine compartment after removing the plastic upper engine cover.
