NWS: Pics from coilover swap [graphic hospital room finger photos]

We had a amazing day for the swap, it was 50 degrees and sunny since cadwiz doesn't have a garage. Here is the one that has the coilovers that need to be removed and put on the other.

So we started out getting the wheel off and started taking the assembly off.

Everything was going fairly well until we couldn't get the entire assembly to drop down to get the shock off. We couldn't get the lock washer (circled in the pic) off...

so we referred to the DIY from Audizine and it said to jump on the caliper until the assembly dropped. And that is what happened, but the hood also dropped... and this happened.

So we have concluded that when you do jump on the caliper, you should not use the hood to try and hold yourself up...or better yet JUST CLOSE THE HOOD!


SOOOO....on that note...another suspension GTG?????

I think Marcus might be bad luck. He helped me do my suspension and I about lost an ear when the whole shock and spring assembly hit me right in the ear. He wasn't there yet....but, he helped me that day. Hmmmm.....or maybe the spring compressors are haunted. I used them on my set up. If we do another suspension GTG things could go worse if you follow the progression of damage to those who do them. I get a mild concussion and my ear almost taken off. Chris loses a finger tip....A FINGER TIP!!!! Next time someone loses a major limb.....then it's death!! Hope you are doing alright. I told Jen and she wondered what you did with the tip. She knew they couldn't sew it back on...she just wondered what happened to it. So....yeah..wow.

well me and marcus stayed there all day basically. we left his house around 12-12:30, what a guy i tell you. he loses a finger tip, and then we grilled out and watched a movie. I'm going to do mine this weekend with my dad... so guys.. pray for me... seriously... and no Loccust, i will not be using those spring compressors.... i rented some at autozone this time. We will see how those perform.

So Chris is feeling like crap today. The block they gave him yesterday along with the morphine has all worn off so he is not doing so hot today. Woke up at 5 and took 1 pain pill and then at about 8:30 he was in severe pain so he took 2 more. Now he is asleep. Hopefully he will start feeling better soon.
Marcus and Min (not sure how to spell that, sorry) thank you for coming back and hanging out with him last night. It think it really helped Chris feel better.

Hey Lori..thats not good to hear! I really hope that some sleep helps...but, i think you should just put him to work!! if hes workin, he won't even think about it...well maybe not! keep us posted on how hes doing, i really hate to hear that he is in a bunch of pain, i know i would probably still be cryin!!!!

that part don't hurt it is the pulling the gauze off that kills me.:D

He didn't really say how long till it is totally healed he just said I need to come back in two weeks to have the stiches taken out.
