So UPS dropped off my new wheels today. The funniest part about buying these wheels was that I offered the guy a certain dollar amount, he passed and put them on ebay and I wound up winning the auction for 100 less than what I offered him

(excuse the newcastle, I needed a beverage while tearing the cardboard off.) :berr:

I am so excited to get them put on, the wheels are 18" SSR GT7's (19 pounds each) and I want to see what kind of effect lightweight wheels have on my car.

I am also now on my second newcastle :tu: And I actually never told him who I was, although when I was negotiating a price with him before he put them on ebay i asked him for a shipping quote to my zip code. My guess is he figured it out but never said anything simply because he was embarrassed. :hehehmn:

56 pounds  holy crap! My wheel/tire combined is only 45lbs....

I don't think I have ever had sprecker. I am a huge fan of newcastle, guinness, and almost any Rogue beer....

I'm a skinny little guy, I dont't think I could even put a wheel on the car that is 56 pounds (probably 75 lbs once you get a tire mounted on it) :finger:

edited because the first version sounded a little, ummm.... not right....

They are 18x8 SSR GT7's. Unfortunately they are no longer made (although you might be able to pick up some leftover ones at tirerack) which is why I jumped on these when I saw them for sale. The tires are Firestone Firehawk Wide Oval, they seem to get decent reviews on tirerack, although I think they run a little narrow as they look slightly streched. They would probably be a perfect fit on 7.5" wide wheels.

I would consider selling the tires if someone were interested in a set of 225/40/18's.

From what I have read the arietta's (aristos are 18's) are around 25lbs each before you put a tire on them. Not horrible, I think my aristos were around 27 or so pounds.
