OK Ladies and Gentlemen.

We have done some research on a hotel in Lincoln that has a parking garage in close vicinity and can handle a large group of people. Sadly the Holiday Inn was out due to a huge baseball tournament that same weekend. We called the Embassy Suites and have negotiated the following.

15 rooms - $104 a night PER ROOM
---potentially $52 a night per person
--Includes free breakfast (real full on breakfast)
--Includes free ****tail hour from 5 to 7 nightly
--Secure parking garage for our use
--Patio for our possible use in evenings (not confirmed, but being checked on by management)

This block is set up for arriving Friday, June 12th and leaving Monday, June 15th.
Reservations will need to be made by April 1 at midnight via the Embassy Suites website or by calling in. Both methods with proper coupon/group name will get discounted rates.

NOW, we know some of you are thinking this is a little more, and we understand. We are just attempting to think in the best interest of our cars and ourselves. With the parking garage, we would have the ability to keep our cars safe in the evenings and detail all day Saturday in relative shade (already spoken with management to ensure it is okay). Also, the hotel is right by many great restaurants and entertainment options, form the movie theater, museums, and such. Those of us that went last year ate at a place right by it. With the free breakfast for the members, it will equal out in price too, along with the free ****tail hour (for those of us 21 and over).

NONE OF THIS IS IN STONE. Right now, we have the contract on our desk, and barring a few more changes for our own well being, it is ready to go. We are asking everyone that is going or potentially going if this is worth doing on my part. We are trying to help everyone out right now and find a good hotel for a good price with some good protection for the cars. We need opinions/yays/nays/questions ASAP.

Remember, this is hail season in Lincoln. Lets make sure our rides come home looking as good as they do when they get there.

*disclaimer* - The rooms are double occupancy. The rate is set for 2 people. IF you register the room for 3 people, you will be charged more. NOW, if you want to double up and have an extra *on-the-down-low* room mate as we did last year, do it. We have no issue with it, just do not let the hotel know. IF you do let the hotel know, it's an extra $15 per person per night, which is not that bad IMO.
