Yes, just lengthen the tailpipes i believe. I did put a mk4 golf exhaust on a mk4 jetta i had and it all lines up fine but the tailpipes are shorter.

I don't see why not. It may have to be lengthened here and there to reach the rear bumper.

Any exhaust shop should be able to do the install and lengthen the tips for a decent price (less than ~$100)

i think jordan and i are gonna install it... i just need to have the tips lengthened. where the hell would i go to do that? just a muffler shop?
and just out of curiosity how much are they gonna have to extend the tips?

If you're installing teh exhaust yourselves, make sure it is adjusted correctly and nothing is touching and/or rubbing. then take it to a shop. You will want them to cut off your tip(s) and then make 1-2 pipes that will extend the tips out to where it looks nice and flush. It's a custom job and it sounds like it would be a simple job. make sure they don't stick them out too far otherwise it will look liek you added jet propulsion !!! :D
You can always do different tips as well. You could be cool like me and join the turndown club :tu:

It's probably about 6" or so.. just have the exhaust shop worry about that.. Depending on 1" each way it could look too far in or too far out though ya know. Just see if it's cool to go back there and check when your car's up on the hoist to make sure it looks right before they weld it if it's not something they normally do.

forzamotorsport9: were you successful at this project? I was wondering if you were willing to share any issues you had as I am considering purchasing a stock GTI exhaust to put on my jetta.

Why not just do a GLI exhaust?

I have access to a GTI exhaust that is for sale on CL. My cat has failed according to ODB "catalyst efficiency below threshold".
