so the check engine light went on yesterday, i took it to autozone and they did the OBD port check and got error code p3081. its a low coolent and engine temp related code. the car drives fine but when im accelerating sometime power is compleately cut off of like a tenth of a second but it makes the car jerk, it usually only happens in 1st gear.
i got my ECT sensor replaced 4 weeks ago so i gotta wonder if it had something to do with that.
anyway what gives?

P3081 equals engine not reaching operating temp. Possible t-stat problem. Who installed your ECT sensor? Dealer or aftermarket?

I've had first hand experience with aftermarket ECT sensors, of late I've had to warranty a defective one. I got one from the local dealer here and the issue went away...
G12 coolant is pink and the right stuff for your car. If they happened to mix or install the wrong coolant it is unlikey it will cause the problem you're having.

Check t-stat operation?
Check water pump. Is it circulating coolant through the coolant bottle? Have a buddy rev the engine to around 1500 rpm and hold. You should see coolant flowing readily into the clear coolant bottle.
Good luck
