Thanks to all that came out yesterday! I had a great time catching up with my old buds and meeting some new faces as well. I just wish more Des Moines people would have came around. ;) But hopefully I'll make my way down there more often. :tu:

We had a great turnout - but PKG lost the "We Roll Deep" award - by 1 member to EuroBlitz. I demanded a recount!! :laugh: Thanks to Chris for organizing the event! Over $1300 was raised for the Ott family!! :yippee:

Great pics and what a good day, weather was great.Thanks to everyone who helped and all the people who made it out. I really have not seen so many Passats in one place in my life lol.
We also had two Black M5's never saw that coming. So we have a date set already for next year we will put it on the calendar but won't post about it for awhile look for some cool things next year.:tu:

It won't happen again. I was thrilled about this, as I'm usually the lone Passat in the midst of GTI's and Jettas at all other GTG's. :D

Looks fun! I wish I could have made it but I'm too caught up with working on my mk4. I'll be there next year to try and nab up a trophie or two :)

Nick's M5 is such a nice ride...nice to see him bringing it out again!

Looks like it was a great event with some great turnout from some folks who we haven't seen in quite a while!

Great pic of Kook giving the nervous look towards the hood of the MkIV (Chris, that one's yours, I think?)

Is the road across the dam open all the way from one end to the other now?

Ryan looks like you guys had a blast to, At least now my nerves are normal again. It was a great time and i could not believe we had two black m5's there or a Beck built Porsche 550 Spyder (which took best of show) and yes that is my car.
Todd You would have been in Passat heaven and would have fit right in.
Kevin met his goal of chipping at least two cars one from PKG and One from EB. I will geta list of all the winners up on the sight as soon as Aaron goes through all the pics. Again thanks every one.

It is a Beck built unit, From Burt, Iowa.
Look for more details when Eurotuner does the story on RFD.:D

Oh yes! 2180 big bore bolted up to a 912 roller crank case. About 250whp = fun to :drive:

Yeah - that's what I thought at first. I noticed the sidemarkers were amber and I left the colormatched ones on when I sold mine and I don't know why anyone would put amber back on. There were little differences like foglights and the tint strip on the windshield but that stuff could have been done. What sold it that it wasn't the same car was the headlights. They don't have the black surrounds like mine did.
Super clean car. I would have loved to see it in person. I miss the jetta.

Al baught it as an insurance car theft recovery so the seats had been cut as well as the dash and door panels so it needs some work to be mint again
