So, a few months ago, I replaced my cylinder 3 coilpack due to a misfire code, and it's been fine, until a few days ago, when I start it up and it runs real rough, along with some power issues (headlights dimming when I shift and use my turn signals), and almost dying when I come to a stop. I scanned it, and got this.
17608 - Boost Pressure Control Valve (N249): Mechanical Malfunction
P1200 - 35-00 - -
17705 - Pressure Drop between Turbo and Throttle Valve (check D.V.!)
P1297 - 35-00 - -
16684 - Random/Multiple Cylinder Misfire Detected
P0300 - 35-00 - -
16685 - Cylinder 1: Misfire Detected
P0301 - 35-00 - -
16688 - Cylinder 4: Misfire Detected
P0304 - 35-00 - -
16686 - Cylinder 2: Misfire Detected
P0302 - 35-00 - -
Could it really be the coil packs? Its odd that they all fail but the one thats new, all at the same time.

First thing I would do is get a new diverter valve on there, I think you can pick up a 710 valve from any vw/audi dealer for like $70 if I remember right. Then, if the misfires come back maybe try swapping them with the known good one and see if the misfire moves around. If it does you know the coil packs are bad.... Or try finding someone you can temporarily swap coil packs with.

I have the stock dv still i'm pretty sure. I might just buy a new aftermarket though. I have a bov, recirculated, but it throws that code from time to time. Do you think that could cause a misfire?

Yes! I would replace your DV valve and look at the n249 valve. Boost leaks will cause random misfires.

Ok, will do. I assumed it was the faulty coil packs, but I had lithia check my vin, and it shows they've all been replaced with the new design. I'll get a new dv, and the n249. Hopefully that works. Thanks.
