How many people here would be interested in getting tint in the spring (April/May maybe)? Maybe we could talk to them and see if we could get a group buy going at a discounted price.

Our Audi could use some tint.... I was just going to go with Trim Designs since I had my R32 done there and they did good work, but if this place is good too then that works for me.

Also right next to BLVD INK so we were thoinking about some thime in May Haveing a tint and tattoo gtg.

oK SO HERE IS THE DEAL THE DATE WE ARE TRYING FOR IS MAY 19TH
WE NEED 6 CARS OR MORE FOR TINT THE MORE WE HAVE THE BETTER I'M ASSUMING. AS FAR AS TATTOOS WE PROBABLLY NEED AT LEAST 8-9 PEOPLE TO GET US 10% OFF. THIS WILL BE AN ALL DAY EVENT THERE IS A PLACE CALLED THE BEAR ACROSS THE STREET THAT I WILL RESERVE A BIG TABLE FOR LUNCH. R &T CUSTOM GLASS ALSO HAVE SOME ELECTRONICS SO IF YOU WOULD LIKE SOME OTHER STUFF I'M SURE IT CAN BE ARANGED.

When I had my windows done on my Eclipse I had to wait two full days before rolling windows down. I think there's some kind've restriction on using heat or a/c also.

hahah Stefan you crack me up:
What % are you guys gonna do? If I can talk to the DMV and get that 35% tint "OK" slip then I'll do that.. if not then I'll do 25-30%.
35% means, it will only allow 35% of visible light to go through
so by going to 25-30%, you're going darker :)
I'm doing 35% or 50% not sure..... i wanna see how big of a difference it is.... 50% in the front has less chance of getting pulled over but u still have that chance. Our laws is like 70% at least for the fronts and anything for the rears.
Gee Tea Eye V

i dont like authority.... so im still gunna stick with 30-35
stollen
02-19-2007, 06:42 PM
Well, here is 35% on a pretty sunny day on my car, I like it, although I will probably go with 50% on the Audi. I want the Audi to stay a little more "classy" and just want to cut the glare down a little.
Oh yeah, and I haven't gotten pulled over for it (had it for a little over a year), although if I do I have one of those tint exemption cards.

I know that very well :finger: What I meant is that if I can't get a tint exemption for having 35% tint then why bother going lighter? I'll be getting ticketed for it anyway, why not have it darker? I don't want DARK dark but 25-30% is more to my liking.

I have not had expierence with either
I have always had Pinnacle F1 or 3M panther tint used both of which are tinted using carbon powder (as opposed to metal, dye, or charcoal so it wont purple or fade, metal can also cause cellphone interference)
Most of the lumar info I can find said ok things nothing spectacular about it but no real drawbacks also a lot of commerical and residental applications not as much automotive
with suntek it varies a LOT from line to line in thier product quality, warrenty ect, they have a carbon product but it is farily new (released at SEMA) so I don't know a lot about it yet thier infinity series is nice but because of the metal content it can really mess with a cellphone.

correct me if i'm wrong(adam) but they said that they pull the panels and extend the tint below the seals so it looks better.

out of what they carry if they have the suntek carbon I would recommend that also you may want to ask how they do the dot matrix area on windows make sure it wont look crappy because the tint didnt lay right
I am not planning on doing the x currently but I may have them do my trans am
