Engine problems

I have a 1991 audi coupe quattro with a 2.3 liter 20valve I5. i have some major engine problems

my engine has no power from 3 grand to 4 grand but it only does this usually when it warms up then when you get off the interstate it has no power at all at anytime until you drive awhile then it kicks bakc in also i get better fuel economy going 85 then 70 and when i go 70 the engine cuts out it really really messed up i don't really want to take it to a dealer. i am from vermont and there were some places that would only work on old audis and vws and man they knew there stuff they knew pretty much everything especially my car they loved my car because its so rare and has the 20valve I5. Are there any places like that around here or even close?

I was gonna mention them. Try not to go to the dealer if you can help it. Now....have you checked any of the usuals? Fuel filter, plugs, wires, so on....

hey coupe that is a 02 sensor problem i'm 99.9% sure.
you are running lean prob.
not sure if you are obd2 compatible but if you are try to vag it.

i don't think 91 was OBDII. Didn't that come around in the mid 90's? 94 it was around, but in 96 they gov't made it mandatory on all vehicles.

i took my car to the shop and they replaced the fuel pump and filter and checked the computer and they didn't find anything. the computer is the old style it just flashes. the place down town how much is labor down there?
