Hi Sparky, Wecome to the board.
You may have me beat by .05 seconds but I still drive mine all over the state :poke:
Saw you peeling out in your mustang coming out of the hy-vee parking lot the other day. I also frequent advance as I live 2-3 blocks from it.

wow i suck with names but i remember the 63 gal with the 352. how did it work out for you. i see about 30+ poeple in one day for car parts so its hard to remeber poeple. it doesnt help i have worked there for 8 years so people know me and i dont know them. like this lady to day bought a battery from me 3 years ago and remebered me and what i told her she was good enought to call me by my name at the door.
as for the cordova trip... sorry man i get to go usally once a year but this year i want to go agnin if i go your invited if you want to come with us we make a night of it the group i go with. we go to the test and tunes at 6 pm and stay untill 4 am. on the way back we stop for some gutt rot at the I-80 truck stop from the buffet. i have an 3/4 dodge extra cab so if anyone just wants to hang out your well come to you can ride up with me just keep in mind if you ride with me you will most likely be there until 4am.

I80 truck stop buffet is nastyyyyy, but oh so good at 5:30 AM!
I have never ran at cordova. How does it compare to cedar falls? CF is about as ghetto as it gets. I think an exhaust system, driveshaft, or wheel falls off at least every 30 minutes. Not to mention massive oil spills.
The one thing I hate about CF is the launching area seems to be a hit or miss. Its either completely slick or the opposite.
I wouldn't mind seeing what the Golf can do with the new head. I am hoping for 13's.

its not the fastest track or the best. the fastest track i have been to is tri state but then its opens at 7 or 8 am to 3 or 4 pm. i like the test and tune with the mid night mayam because its opens at 6 pm to 4 am. as you know at early morning DEW becomes an issue for the track but if you get there at 6 pm you got untill like 1 to 2 am before the dew start getting to it bad. also after the sun go down the temps. start to drop so its cooler out. the engine can be beat on harder so on so on... you know... the last one of the year is the one im going to. i just hope its not as busy as the last years one i think they said over 500 street cars at last years. man it was cool but also sucked me and pat wanted back to back runs for dailing in the engine when HOT but could not. so we did our best and went to tri state for back to back runs. so i would not say its better or worst because that depends on what your looking for and the night you go. the last time pat, abby, i went it was a good night about 50 cars so not to big not to small AND we all had FUN. no one broke i think in all a very good night it was.
