the y pipe on the exhaust isnt even goin to cut the power barely i dont think... plus i like the dual exit it looks better then a bigger single exit, screw rice cans

pulled from FixxTuning.com:
This pipe is used to delete the "Sound Making" pipe used on Mk5 GTi and GLi's. The stock pipe splits before the throttle body and goes into the firewall to a sound maker! This extra air required to fill that tube creates additional lag. By replacing that pipe with a stock non GTi/GLi 2.0T pipe throttle response is greatly improved!
so that deletes a bunch of extra intake piping. i say make jake do it.

Did this already.......along with the discharge pipe. Get them both guys..you won't regret it at all. I replaced mine with the Neuspeed one.

The throttle is smoother and the boost is more consistent throughout the power band....if that makes since. Hendo has driven my car....Oh Hey..DSV rode in it before. Him and Hendo took my car out for a joy ride so Hendo could see the differance with the pipes in.

yeah, Hendo was driving and i rode shotgun. I've never ridden in a stock GTI, but i must say that Mike's GTI pulled HARD. :tu:
