Let's start gathering around 5pm. There's no cap for how late this can go. We'll stay and hang out as long as people want.
Rookies has a full menu plus bar. Please be considerate of our hosts and spend a few dollars with them.
Head to http://www.eatrookies.com for location, address and directions.

will there be an afterparty of some sort like last time? Unfortunately I don't get off work until 10:00, and I can't sacrifice another weekend off after being shut down by the flooding this last weekend.
Everyone have fun!

i would, but i have a wedding to shoot that day..all day.
next time, and i will be lowered by then too.
Keeping this at eye-level for anybody who has missed it on the calendar.
Last year we had over 15 cars make it out. If you're in the Des Moines area with nothing going on, you've got to go!

so this GTG is for sure on the 21st? cuz it would be my first ever GTG and my clutch is bad, dont really want to drive it up their if its not for sure, and also ive been told someone might be able to scan my car cuz of the issues i been having with it and my check engine light.

Gary (stollen) will be there, you should ask him reeeally nice to bring his VAG-COM, and I'm sure he'll be happy to scan your car.

Will a Scangage read codes on your car?? I have one wired into my f150 and i can pull it out if you really need it.
This is provided I get my own car running. I think my throttle body took a dump because of bad oil seperator seals. I have new seals, a throttle body rebuild kit, and a tps being deliverd to my house (Pella) friday and my car is stuck in Des Moines. If I get the logistics and repairs worked out I can be there.

There is a very, very small chance I'll be able to make it to this one. I leave later tonight for the BMW driving school in Omaha and probably won't be back until late friday night/early saturday morning.

I might be out. Would be nice to meet some of you since I just joined the board. But I warn you my MK4 Jetta is 99.9% stock expect for the intgrated ipod adaptor :)

I though a can-bus code reader would also read the codes on a vag car it just wouldn't have all the advanced features.

How much you have done to your car doesn't matter. Our GTGs are about getting everybody together and hanging out. :tu:

i will be there more than likely but probably not in my jetta.....unless we get the motor in and running 2nite which i doubt it b/c of waiting on parts...but i should still be there.
Looks like we're going to have a decent turnout. If anyone is still on the fence, put this on your calendar and make it out. We're gonna have a blast. :tu:
We're here at Rookies ordering drinks.

Well I havnt left D-port yet (took longer than expected with the dogs) but my dad and uncle were at Rookies as some of you guys were coming in. He said he saw 2 R32s (he said definitely 2, he looked at the grill badges), a jetta with a roof rack and the 924. Apparently he was pretty impressed. Hopefully I can make it there before you guys are done with your shenanigans.
