I made the same question on GOVAG. so what do you guys think?
wrap intake and manifolds maybe ive turbo and DP.
here is a link

looks handy, but i dunno if id want it all over my engine bay lol

by wrapping the exaust side of the turbo and the DP you will see better exahsut flow numbers and it will improve the boost response wrapping intakes rarely show performance gains but exh manifold, turbo, dp wrapping will improve the performance of the vehicle...also it will keep the intake charge coming through the turbo cooler as this stuff reduces heat soak as well.

Just be forwarned it smokes like a bastard for about three weeks until the production chemicals and the moisture from shipping ect get cooked out of it.

jjperf, the way the s4 intake pipes run i think it might help a little.
I know the exhaust is a better deal but i'm not sure if my manifold will take all that heat.
thanks for the heads up on the smoke.

the manifold is fine I have run wrap on the cheapest tubular manifolds to factory cast pieces and everything in between plus the wrap actually reduces hot spots on the manifold by spreading heat more evenly so you may end up with a lower average temp across the manfold...IIRC thermotec makes some silver faced insulated wrap that they use for intakes the metallic on the outside does an improved job of reflecting heat...haven't been under the hood of an AUDI since my buddies 80 quattro and 5000 sedan back in HS so it may prove beneficial.

My main thing is with turbocharged cars is that most of the intake temperature gains you can get are lost during the compression phase in the turbo since as gases are compressed the heat up you can lose most of your advantage...hence the reason I just go for a larger or more efficient Intercooler
