I have been running into alot of Limp Mode in my APR chipped 1.8T Jetta. So yesterday, I decide to pop some new plugs in it. Wow what a difference. I went a step colder with the NGK BKR7E gapped at .028". I still hit limp mode this morning but it seems to run quite a bit better. I guess I will try cleaning the MAF to curb the limp mode. If not that, maybe a new N75. I just felt like posting that. :)
hehe, well nice work man. :tu: have you always been running NGKs in your car? i've been pricing out stuff for a tune-up and am not sure what brand comes in our cars stock...

Just for reference, BKR6Es are good for stock tune, 7Es for mildly modded/higher than stock boost on 1.8T. There's a lot of debate over it on Audizine, some people had problems gapping at 0.028" and it was solved by going 0.030" instead.. worth it to try if your MAF isn't the culprit. How many miles on the N75? I've got a 710N (only $35) in my A4 and have been more than happy with it..

Oh, there's probably 15k on the N75J. The plugs in it were BKR6Es. NGK must be the stock since they had Audi symbols on them. I've got an EVOMS DV in it already. If I get to the point of replacing the N75 I might try the diode mod.

I'm almost positive NGKs, much less BKR6Es, weren't stock.. strange they have the Audi symbol on them, hrm

Hmm...I know for a fact they had NGK on one side of the porcellain and the Audi symbol on the other. Oh well.

NGK is the largest OEM supplier of sparkplugs world wide I would not be at all supprised if they were the audi factory plugs

Didn't work. I might try a different N75 now. I ordered my 3" DP today and another TT wheel to replace the gashed to hell one yesterday. Spacers are next .
