Where do I find the code for my transmission? 97' GTI 2.0l

On the tranny lol. Call the VW dealership ask for parts dep and give them your vin number and they should be able to tell you the tranny code. You can also look under the hood for stickers or on the door jam it should tell you somwhere. Google is also a good start :)
