Smokin' Aces

I've finally learned my lesson. I'm never going to read another critic's review of a movie. I read several bad reviews of this film on RottenTomatoes.com (http://www.rottentomatoes.com), but because the previews looked so good and I recognized several of the actors, I decided to go see it anyways. My verdict for the movie? Excellent! It was filled with interesting characters and a back and forth plot that kept you guessing about the outcome until the very end. The movie was a fast-paced action flick filled with blood, guns, federal agents, mobsters and mercenaries. Seeing all of the individual characters playing into and intersecting with the others was a lot of fun. The movie ran for about 109 minutes and the time seemed to fly. The first half of the movie is mostly build up of the plot and learning about the characters involved. The second half is where everything just explodes. In my opinion, this is a great movie for the guys (and girls) who love non-stop action with a twisting and turning plot.

i had thought about seeing Alpha Dog, but this one got my attention from the first time i saw the preview. I'd been talking about going to see Smokin' Aces for weeks, lol. :D

yep, the wife and I went and saw it in the theatres. we loved it. great cast, great plot. jack nicholson was a riot. :tu: we thought the movie was going to end about 5 different times, but it just kept going and things kept happening. however, i will say that i saw the very last scene with Marky Mark coming....hehehe :D

BTW, I never listen to critic reviews...they rave about sucky movies and sh!t on movies that are really good from what I've noticed. I REALLY want to go see Hot Fuzz...I LOVE Shaun of the Dead!!
