Alright guys I really want to assist with getting some stuff figured out on another option for stepping up the performance on these things so we need to know what all comes in the APR kit I may need some specs and shit toget it figured out but I think we can do just as good if not better using off the shelf parts...

besides the information above I need a few other things first is the turbo just oil cooled or is it oil and water cooled?

Second any idea what the thread pitch is on the block fittings for said lines are?

Third does VW use a CAN system for its interconneciton between the ecu and motor?

Lastly is the cat bolted in or is it part of the main exhaust piping?

find me some answers and we will see where we can go with it

ok i think i can answer these two on my own, but ill look them up later tonight after my test as well

i know the computer connection to the car or vagcom for vw's is through a can connection on the 03+ cars, so whether that answers it or no, i dunno.

and im almost 95% that the cat is just part of the exhaust piping because people have cut it out and put on test pipes instead

CAN can be a little difficult to deal with basically we need to find out what sensors are where and how they interface with the ECU that way you can add aftermarket fuel computers such as an Apexi SAFC which can manipulate MAF voltage to increase fuel enrichment also figuring out how to put aftermarket boost control on to the system...are you aware if the VW uses a boost cut system or if the ECU has issues if it is not controlling the boost?

Also if the cat is part of the exaust what parts bolt together in the turbo system? just the o2 housing and the exaust?

If you are talking about the factory turbo it is water and oil cooled. VW does use CAN to interface between the motor and the ECU. The cat is part of the down pipe....both OEM and APR.

4300 is waayyyy too much. It will be like half of that down the road. Well, I guess way down the road when more kits come out.

I have a guy looking into fabbing a mani for this application...from the looks of the kit this comes with gaskets, fittings, mani and turbo. Is this correct?

Need to source gaskets, and fittings for the turbo lines to mate it up to a t25 or t-28 then we need someone to get a manifold done from there its mate up a turbo and fab a downpipe and cat assembly

I just noticed that there is a guy on vortex that is using a full race manifold...you need to find out if it is on a mkV or not member name is TurboReady if so I need to go back at full-race and hound them into putting the thing into production if so I can build off of it

I just need someone to get the manifold only fabbed up on they will need to source thier own parts if they want them we just need a car there for them to fit the thing properly and tell that guy who said "sounds like a warrently voider" the world would be a a lot better of if he quit stealing everyone else's oxygen

The total kit would include mani, turbo, gaskets, turbo lines, o2 housing and downpipe flanged before the cat (so it could be removed) I don't know the specs on the fuel system on these cars so I won't really know about fuel enrichment until we get one up and running

:D :D :D another slogan suggestion for J&J, "We work on our cars so we don't have to waste out time on yours"

ok man i found out some info and responded to that guy in phoenix. here is a thread u might like to read, i found ur TurboReady guy, yes he has a MkV and yes he has a full race manifold and says he gets 360hp

http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=2886924

Full Race turbo manifold
Precision sc34 turbo
walboro fuel pump
rc550 injectors
ECU tuning
front mount intercooler and piping
HKS super sequential blow off
3 inch custom turboback exhaust
Tial 38mm Wastegate

Oh yeah, I forgot. My car put 360WHP on low boost and was a daily driver.

i am going to send him a pm about it, now that i read it again he might be talking about a past car.... but ill talk to him and let u know:TU:
