Anyway, definitely not selling mine, SML just developed a major case of hatchback envy on Sunday.

I think the MKIV R32 will stay the top of the VW food chain for serious drivers for a while, simply because the MKV R32 is going to be DSG only. I know DSG is an awesome tranny, but there is just something about that third pedal that makes this car so much fun.

Oh, and as far as a R36 Golf, I wouldn't look for one of those until the MKVI platform, there was a ton of disucssion about a possible MKV R36 golf over on Vortex and it was ruled out pretty quickly. Mostly because the 3.6L motor and tranny won't fit in the MKV Golf engine bay. Plus, I think they kinda screwed the pooch on the MKV R32, the exhaust should have been kept further spaced out like the MKIV's, and that grille is just out of place on anything other than a silver car.

I will probably never sell the R32, I have some plans for it. Now if I can just convince myself (and my wife) that toys for the R32 are more important than a bigger, more pimp house life would be good. ;)

this is my first auto :( i purposely bought an auto to limit how much i modded it though, i really wanted a reliable car and it's done it's job. manual is a lot more fun, you actually drive the car. my project car will definitely be an older audi/vw/dsm with manual.

You got that right, once you get your first AWD car the only upgrade path is either a more powerful AWD car or a more luxurious one. Come to think of it, I have never had a FWD car, I had RWD cars until I got a WRX in Nov. '01, then the R32 in July of '04. I wonder if I can get through my entire life without ever owning a WWD (wrong wheel drive) car. :D

im having mine converted to AWD:laugh: jk jk. i wouldnt relaisticly be buying a mkv R anyway haha as much as i would love too, im gunna be with this untill i get money for a new one. i would love if they would change their minds and ship the iroc over this way because they are dead sexy(imo) and i would take that over the R esp if the iroc had a 3.6 option!!! lol
