Ok so I'm more of a bimmerforums.com guy but this forum is awesome since it's local. I've been talking with SDKmann (aka Seth) about the meet you guys are having on Saturday at the bier stube. I've been trying to go to one of your eets for a while I just haven't had the time...well I set saturday aside so I could come! He informed me you guys were looking to do an install meet...well I've got plenty of goodies that need installing so here's what I've got that can be installed...
:D Ceramic brake pads/ new sensor and caliper paint. I've never done any brake work so I would need a lot of guidance with this project. I do have a chilton's manual that gives directions though! This is the only project I need to get done as my current pads are almost gone!
:D Fan delete kit and under drive pulley's...could give me up to 15hp, but realistically will probably only give 4-7hp to the wheels. Anyway I know pretty much how to do this and have instructions as well. This project involves bleeding the coolant system, which I've never done but have seen it done and kinda know the ropes...here's a pic of one of the pulley's...

:D And last but not least, I'd be willing to let you guys (if you are up to it) help me try and install my headers. This project would be the best option if someone has access to a lift. It's obviously doable with jacks and stands...but it'd sure be a pita! Here's a pic of those...

 And option 4 is screw me my car sucks we don't wanna install anything on it and would rather just hang out or work on a sweet vdub?

What I bring is based on your feedback! So let me know what sounds fun and doable! Thanks and I'll see you Saturday...tell then take care -Logan

Hey mcdani3coupe, all is easy except for the headers like you said. Those will probably be a PITA so you might want to save them tell when its warmer unless you can get a lift and a heated garage. Other then that we can get the other 2 done in no time. It's as easy as pie. :hungry:

Hope to see you this weekend at the Stube!

Ok so I'll bring the pads, and caliper paint...that's most important since my pads are really bad...I'm so excited to have no brake dust!...I'll bring the pulley's and the fan delete kit too, we might not get to them but at least it will give us sometihing to do if we get bored! Cheers and I will see ya saturday!

First thing i would do is Burn that Chilton Manual and buy a Bentley Manual for our cars.

Second the brakes are pretty easy to do and well painting them is easy as well. maybe 1/2hr

Doing the cooling system well that is easy as well and if u haven't yet i would replace that water pump with a metal propeller. 1/2hr

The pullies pretty easy and smart upgrade but if u want to get more HP get rid of that waterpump and get a electric one.. 1/2hr to a hr

Headers are pretty easy to install as well. Just get a torch and heat up the bolts first then they will come off pretty easy. For the part that is bolted up to the block they will come off pretty easy as well. that will take maybe a hr or two depending on the tools that you have. 2-3hrs

Yea man you need to get a six cylinder! Although I do like ti's! See ya tomorrow. I don't have the water pump...I just got an alluminum thermostat housing. I'm pretty sure I already have a metal water pump...I could be wrong. You guys can let me know tomorrow! Later -Logan

Hey sorry that we kinda left you hangin today with putting your stuff on. I was expecting a lot more people to be there. Cant wait to see all of this stuff on! You need to go start a build thread in the members rides section.
