so yeah i was drivin my buddies to supper tonight and i get an airbag light on my speedo

and it hasnt gone off, it couldnt even be something cool like a check engine light so now i have to take it into jordan to get it checked out. gayness

Brad Jones at Jordan motors is the shit! He takes great care of people.... schedule to have a loaner.... lets be the shit out of it:D

haha does getting a loaner cost more? cause i found the TSB for my problem so it should be a free fix and im gunna try to have my radio clipping TSB fixed also. hopefully i can call them tomorrow and scedule a time for saturday as long as i can get back before sat night... just because i like to party... lol

damnit, its like a 10 min fix, seriously thinkin about buying a vagcom so i can fix stupid shit like this

oh and so i can put my windows down/up with the remote :)

and euro tails.... and a lot more, hmm sounds like a good thing to ask for from my rents for xmas

yeah - no shit.... I took mine to Jordan and had them turn off my DRL's and alarm chime. They didnt know the code for the windows

I have a VagCom. Did all the stuff you are talking about. The windows is sweet as hell...so is the coming home/leaving home. My buddy at work has a MKV GTI also so we did both our cars. The air bag TSB is a simple job but they will still want your car for the day. They did mine and the light came on again down the road. They had it in the shop again all day just to tell me there was nothing wrong with it. From now on I will just use my VagCom to see what it is and clear the fault if it is nothing huge.

Sure do. It is amazing the crap you can do with it. I need some trigger wires and then I will have my latest project of euro style tails done. Could of used the rear fog last night.

nice i think i might be getting one for xmas, which one do u have? i love the euro tails and yeah the rear fogs would have been nice this morning too.

I have the Ross-Tech Vag Com. I think it's a HEX CAN Bus. It's whatever works for the MKV GTI....

Get the cord off of their site. If we ever have a meet or GTG I'lljust bring the VAg with me. There are a ton of cool thing you can do to the radio too.

ok this might be dumb but what exactly is a VAG-COM, and what all can it do? I've heard allot of things about them but I'm not sure what is truth and what is blasphemy. thanks

Volkswagen Auto Group Computer Operating Mechanics or something like that helps diagnose problems and can change some features on MKV's but I am not an expert on it so hopefull the Vag -com master will chime in :D

Exactly what Jason said. Depending on the car you can do several things. My MIL came on this morning when I was trying to go to work. Plugged in the Vag Com and fixed it right away within 5 min. Really handy to have.
