Jmersh, stg 3+ GTI guy from Colorado

Hello, my name is Jared, but my friends call me Jaco (JAY-ko). I drive an APR STG 3+ 20th AE GTI with a pretty healthy mod list. Pushing about 380HP to the wheels and I run a 13.1 on street tires and 12.8 on slicks at 6000 ft altitude.

I heard from OrangeDub that there was a bit of chatter on here about the movie I'm making, STUDDED. He (assuming OrangeDub is a he) invited me to come say hi so here I am. One of the guys working on the film with us is from the midewest. Jonny Zeller if ya know him (from Minnesota). A little about the movie:

Last fall when DBadged came out, a couple of us dubber types were saying how great our mountain roads are, the scene is ever-expanding and how it would be fun to do our own filming thing. We (mostly I) dove in and picked up a camera, then a second, third, fourth, mics, mounts, tripods, etc. We started an L.L.C. production company and started our own charity for all the proceeds.

Anyway, up until I started dabbling I'd never done anything with film before. You can see in the trailers how production value has been ever increasing along the way.

Thanks everyone! Unfortunately no, we didn't shoot in HD and probably won't until 2009. I'm not a rich man and sunk about 4 grand now into gear. Can't just start from scratch. Depending on how many movies we sell, it may happen sooner than later though. Oh and BTW, we're definately keeping the movie under 15 bucks shipped!

I'm a bit of a film geek also - I filmed/edited/produced a film with 4 other guys my senior year of high school that took the entire year to make.

What camera's and editing programs are you guys using?

Hmmm... You should come to the PKG/GOVAG winter meet. Maybe I can convince my dad to let me bring the S4. I'd be more than happy to make an ass out of myself on camera.

I love your trailers. It's just more proof that VAG/Euro guys are some of the most passionate and crazy freaks when it comes to life.
