well, i guess the old saying goes "if you can't beat 'em, join 'em." well ford is doing just that with their new Individual program which is the same program as Volkswagens. but this post isn't so much that as it is about its almost perfect carbon copy of the B6's interior....compare below:

what a cheap knock-off from Volkswagen!!! :thumbdown
why can't the world's car makers come up with any original design ideas anymore? it seems now more than ever that everyone is copying each other :td:

Welcome to ford of europe kiddies!
check out the Focus RS
interior is a combo between a GTI and an M3 and with 300+ hp turbo 4 and AWD it would give an s4 a good run for its money...fucking wicked no matter how you slice it

honestly though, everywhere you look people are taking design cues from eachother...
not to say that right now Ford is less guilty than others, just check out my web page at myspace....
there is an interesting story on the new Mustang Concept, to give you an idea of how infuriating it is, Coca, took an American Dream and hired an Italian firm to concept it....seems to me that the synapses's just arent happening in Fords concept departmant.

cry about it pussy
ford's in house design team hasn't penned anything original and attractive in at least 20 years
while the designers for thier subsidearies are great they never look to thier other marques to get a decent designer
examples of ford owned design the new aston db9 its little brother the jag xk lotus elise, aston vanquish, jag S-type all recently designed by ford owned companies
besides I don't see you bitching about the Caddy alante which was designed by peninfarina and even manufactured in thier plant in Italy non US styling is where it's at unless you want a kenworth or a fucking pickup

while there is a similarity between the ford and the VW that passat interor is a direct knock-off of the e46 3 seires or E53 X5 so lets not get too pissy about who copied whom

Notched dash line below vents...the vents themselves, curvature of the gauge cluster hood, garage door over cupholders, armrest shape, climate control positioning, button layout and dual knob design on the nav unit...not to mention the seats look almost exactly the same as the ones in my 4.6is in bolster design. frankly I see more in common with the bmw and the vw then with the vw and the ford

hey all im sayin is that its ridiculous that a multi billion dollar company cant find a decent design crew out of the states... fire some old d bags or something and get young fresh ideas state side....
and no im not bitching about cadillac's pf crossover, cause i could care less, cadillac stopped making good looking cars (minus a few, and i mean few) twenty years ago. besides im a lincoln kinda guy...
its just unfortunate that we have to outsource a job to a foreign country on a domestic car...we have a thriving (obviously) foreign market here in USA, leave it to them, or let Ferrari bastardize their line and sell a 50k dolla car.
