I've got a pair of 12" Blaupunkt subwoofers installed in a custom-built enclosure, and an Insignia amplifier. I've only had them in my car for a few weeks, and they've taught me that I am not the type of guy who wants subwoofers in my car.

They're loud as hell, and they're decent sound quality. The most impressive thing about them is the enclosure in which the subs are mounted. The drivers themselves are mounted inside the box, facing each other behind a plexiglass window, with two front-firing ports each. They're old-school; the cones and dustcaps are pressed paper and the surrounds are foam. They appear to be in excellent physical condition, however; with excellent hard-hitting bass and no distortion.

The amp is an Insignia 400Wx2, with onboard cooling fan. Has the usual 2 RCA imputs and 2 RCA pass-thru outputs, with adjustments for High-Pass and Gain levels. I can't recall the model number on the amp, but I'll check it out and post it along with pictures of everything later.

I'd like to get $150 out of the whole set. Thoughts?

Wow a lot of people selling audio stuff right now. For $150 its tempting but right now I really only want a single 8" sub....

I would get at least a 10" unless you have heard a really good setup with an 8. They just can't go very low....

Im not really looking for an award winning audio system, just something that will enhance mine just a little bit. 8" still too small? Sorry for the hijacking....

Don't worry about the thread jack, I'm leaning toward keeping these anyhow. An 8" sub won't hit very hard or go very low. If you want just one sub that can hit hard and low, but not necessarily blow you away, a single 10" would do the trick. Plus if you get the right 10", then if you decide later that you want LOUD, you can just crank up the gain!

But if you've got your heart set on an 8", I've got an old-ass Pyle 8" in a cylindrical enclosure sitting around; shoot me an offer :D

Yeah I've still got them; at the moment a friend of mine is considering buying them, so he's got first dibbs. If he decides to pass, you can buy them. Still asking $150 for the whole kit and kaboodle.
