its a 1983 635csi EURO model (grey market import) - so its far better than my current us-spec 633. what that means is, the shorter and better looking bumpers, none of that emissions BS, the bigger 3.5 M30 engine (225hp/250lb-ft), firmer suspension, etc. plus this car is also a 5 speed and has the sport seats, only downside is they aren't power.

so should i just keep the one that i have now? or sell it and get this euro model?

its a tough call, i'm going to talk to the guy tonight after work

Well, it does have a lot of the things you are wanting to do on your car, but you have put a lot of work into yours. I like the fact that it's a 5-speed, though I also remember you mentioning that it was nice to have an auto cruiser.

If you can get a decent amount out of your car and can acquire the white one without incurring too much of a loss, I'd say it's worth it. YOu don't have to keep scouring for euro items plus you get a 5-speed and a better engine.

All in all it's up to you, but I think that would be a slick car to own. :tu:

I say sell it as long as the underbody is in good shape and you can verify it wasn't junked together.

Example, look at the drivers side right behind the front tire, very bottom. Rust is starting down there and it's about to get pretty heavy considering how it's spread apart.

That is a VERY nice car that you probably wont find again. It's also hard to find a true BMW enthusiast like yourself who would take car of it and restore it properly.

If it's worth it for you - do it :). You can look at A LOT of different project cars for $4000 though. That would be my only deciding factor.

That one just made my stomach turn a bit. I hate that word "enthusiast," it's tossed around way too much.

I say keep what you have. As if what I say actually matters anyway... :D

well i suppose i should follow the masses as to not cause any problems (god knows we don't want that).

I say go for it TJ looks like a nice car and from the way you talk about it something that you really want.
