My dad does vinyl cutting and sandblasting among other things so i had him cut and blast the fast on my 95 vr6 turbo. Shows up well with anchovi's tint job.:tu: If anybody needs any vinyl cut or wants something blasted in their glass let me know.

Yep it is permanent. I will get some better pics when i get the car cleaned up. Only takes about 20 seconds to cut it in the glass.

Yea. pretty much whatever you can dream up can be cut on the vinyl machine and easily blasted into the glass. Or you can just do vinyl sticker and no blasting. I just wanted something permanent that wouldn't peel off or anything. Just like a tatoo:tu:

Wow, I'm impressed. I think that's the first positive comment I've seen from you all day. Unless, of course, you were being sarcastic... ;) :)

That's really cool, man. I wish I lived a little closer to Dubuque. I'd love to get a couple of little "turbo" emblems cut into the rear door windows. In Porsche script, of course.

I'm in WDM.

However, I think I may have just stumbled across a different project I might need your dad's help for. Might take a little time, but it's wall-art oriented. Saw this link when searching for some ideas on how to put my new office together...thought this would look uber-cool if done with an interesting background and perhaps a "fast" etching on the front glass.

http://modernself.com/wp-content/uploads/2007/02/led3.jpg

Full write-up here (http://modernself.com/?p=362). Basically it's an LED lightbox. I was thinking of doing a black frame, potentially with either the VW emblem as the background and "fast" etched into the glass, or the other way around. Still haven't settled on a color, but suffice it to say, it won't be brown like this one.

The idea is still in the works, but you get the drift.

that shouldn't be a problem. i can have him etch the glass with what you want and then mail it to you. Let me know when you get a better idea of how big you need it and what you want etched.
