So...I enjoy drinking tea, and I found out today Mike (DSV) does too. Some people may already know about it, but there is a really cool place downtown in the East Village called Gong Fu Tea that sells all kinds of looseleaf tea. It is quite the experience to go there. You can buy the tea to take home as well as have them make you some to drink there. I know Jake is a big tea drinker too...is there any other interest?
I thought it would be fun to go buy/drink some tea? Clean up the cars and take some pics while we're downtown? :tu: or :td: ?

When would the interested parties be...interested...in doing this? We could do it Saturday night possibly. I'm open to suggestions.

I work until 10p on Saturday, so that probably wouldn't work for me, unless it was before 2:30p.

Well...here's their days/hours:

Teahouse Hours: 7 A.M. - 6 P.M. Central Standard Time
Days of Operation: Monday - Saturday

I'd say a weeknight at like 4:30 would be good, but I know most of us are barely off work by then...

Gee Tea Eye V
09-21-2007, 12:15 PM
i could prolly swing some night at 430 if everyone else can make it

MrFlippant

I talked to Jessica earlier (dubgteye) about possibly a Saturday afternoon around 2pm or something. Maybe October 13th?

Okay...How about Saturday Oct. 13, afternoonish (2 PM maybe)? That would give everybody time to make their cars look nice. Then since it will probably be sorta cool outside it'd be good tea drinkin weather.

Iff'n I can, I'll swing in. Can't promise the GLI is cleaned up, but I might be able to swing in to say hello. If I do, someone needs to give me a crash course in tea so I don't look like (more of) a total idiot.

If you have ANY questions about tea, the people that work there are awesome and super helpful. I was a tea n00b when I first started going there and they are like personal tea consultants - I had never had loose tea before going there and now that's the only kind of tea I like. It's so tasty and fresh. You could check out their website before you go and look at all the stuff they have. It tells all about the different kinds they have and has pictures of each kind. You've got to smell them when you're there too. They smell so...interesting.

Sorry I flaked, y'all. I got busy priming the basement walls yesterday and time got awayfrom me.

OT: I'm watching NOPI Tunervision and this drift-prep'd 350Z sounds absolutely awesome.

When's the next "tea time"? :D

When's the next "tea time"? :D

I hadn't seen my brother in over a year and he's in town, so I had to pick family over tea...even though this was my idea!

We should totally have another tea time since Jake, the tea man, couldn't go!

Gee Tea Eye V
10-15-2007, 05:18 PM
most definately!
